How to shut down from lock / login screen using keyboard

Hello,

Is there a way to shutdown using keyboard only, from the initial login screen? It's the same screen as the windows lock screen.

I have tried all the standard keys Alt-F4, Esc, Ctrl-Shift-Esc, Ctrl-Break, etc. but to no avail.

I know that there is a button at the bottom right that you can click to shutdown, but I can't see it to click on it (long story: I have a two monitor setup, and the login screen upon boot will show up on my primary monitor. There's something wrong with primary monitor so now when the computer boots, it sometimes displays on my primary monitor and sometimes it doesn't. During the times when it doesn't, I'll need to shut down and restart, but at the login screen, my primary monitor is not showing so I cannot see the shutdown button to click on it)

This is not a direct solution but it could be a workaround.
If you set Windows to enter directly to your desktop (I don't remember how, was ages, since I did it), you can create shortcuts for shutdown and restart from your desktop.
Make the shortcuts and link them to the following:
Shutdown: C:\windows\system32\shutdown.exe /s /t 0
restart: C:\windows\system32\shutdown.exe /r /t 0

GRC's wismo will also do the trick for shutdown and restart -- however, it comes at a price, if certain programs or utilities are open at the time of the abrupt shutdown or abrupt restart, there might be problems, which may or may not become evident at the very next coldpost/boot or restart. I'm not sure if shutdown.exe can cause similar possible problems.

Thanks theYannis and RolandJS for the suggested workarounds. I wouldn't want my computer to boot directly to the desktop without keying in a password at the login screen as I have kids and occasionally relatives in the house. Is there really no keystrokes that can be entered at the login / lock screen to select the shutdown option?

I am not familiar with any keystrokes in the login screen. Microsoft did a "Great" job making everything work with the mouse or your finger. The geniuses thought that since the O/S is for tablets, who needs key-stroke commands.....
You can still have the boot go through the login screen to use the password and by using the shortcuts I mentioned to close the PC with 1-click instead of 4.
