After installing windows update today, my "show hidden icons" arrow is weirdly displaced. Can anyone help me? I tried to show all icons and then hiding them again, but this doesn't work. Untitled.pngAnyone got any ideas? Thanks for helping!

Try right clicking on the Taskbar -> Properties.
Check: Use small taskbar buttons and press Apply. Did that relocate it?
Uncheck: Use small taskbar buttons and press Apply (to make them back to the way you have it in the picture)

Hopefully that fixed it.

Hi I have tried all those. But to no avail. The arrow is still in the same place.

I try researching this on the internet and found this post in other places too =þ

I'm assuming the arrow got so tired of floating in mid-air, it decided to lay down on the bottom of the screen!

But screw that, you gotta wake this muther up! Let's see if you tried this method:
1) Right click on taskbar -> Properties (same location) -> Cuztomize... button
2) In the Notification Area Icons window, check the thing at the bottom, Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar
and press OK.
3) Bring back this window and uncheck that option.
Hopefully making it disappear and re-appear again fixes that bug. Let's try that

Hi again and thanks for replying. I've tried that too. And yes, it seems that other people have faced this same problem too. But none of them seemed to have found a solution.

Ya I saw other people's posts too, but I saw your same exact post with the same picture above in other forums =þ
It's nothing bad, it's just good to see that you're asking for help in multiple places. The more the merrier.

That's weird though.. try changing the fonts of the computer.
Right click Desktop -> Screen Resolution -> Make text and other items larger or smaller
At the bottom, write down a backup of all those settings (Title bars, ##, etc). Then try screwing around with those. If that doesn't help, reset those numbers back to the way they were.

Try messing around with other things in here. Hopefully you'll find some option that throws is back to where it should be.

Yes, I posted in Microsoft community too. I try that when I have access to my laptop again. If this doesn't work, I guess I just have to get used to it. Thanks anyways!

Alright, hope you get it fixed. Please post back on here when you try all that to notify others for it to be helpful for others.

Also, one last thing I forgot to mention. When you change the font numbers for those settings in that list below, try changing every single number to something that is a different number and a bigger font, and restart the computer. If that fixed it, reset those numbers back to what they were, restart computer. If that brings back the bug, do them one by one to eliminate whatever one it could be.

This is assuming that this is the issue. Hopefully it is! Then no need to get used to that tired little arrow.
