In the power option user can set the brightness of dimmed display.
Is there an option for user to choose under what condition the display will be dimmed?

As far as I know there is this setting,

Which is available on yours because I see the option in your screenshot.
That just uses a light sensor to determine brightness, I don't know of any other condition to use that setting.

I just set all the Dim options to NEVER or NO and that settles it!
Likewise Sleep and Hibernate..... those I permanently Disable.
I have a hard enough time reading a Laptop screen without it being dimmed.
But ask yourself, "when do I want my screen to be dimmed" and then set your power options accordingly.

I disabled the "adaptive brightness".
I prefer to set the brightness manually at the correct time and to the correct brightness.
