Ok, im having multiple problems with this system. Its gotten to the point where I don't even want it if it continnues

  • Problem 1

My tiles will not work. My resolution is 1920x1080 and it still won't work. I reset the computer to help them work again, but all that did is delete literally all my programs . I went into control panel and changed the account permission or control settings to the medium. That still did nothing. Then I even went as far as uninstalling the tile and trying to reinstall them, nothing.

  • Problem 2

Now my "More PC Options" button doesn't work

Can anyone help me with this? Because this is getting extremely fustrating

Welcome to the forum, HHR. I just checked your system profile. Not too much there. I suggest posting more info there so others can decipher your problem. Also, did you clean install, dual boot, etc.?

I did I think what its called a "Dual-Boot" where you still have the old Windows saved as "Windows.old"

In a dual boot setup you will get a menu on boot up where you can select what OS is used. The OS that was there before you installed Windows 8 would still be intact and usable. If you installed over the top and the previous OS was saved in the Windows.old folder, that is not a dual boot. Your files are in that folder but the windows install saved there is no longer usable.
What do you mean by your tiles don't work? Does the Metro Start screen show on screen and what happens exactly when you try to launch an app?

Firstly Make sure you have installed Windows correctly i.e. from right source using proper way.

Problem 1 : What error you're getting when click on a tile? Does this happen with all tiles?

Problem 2 : More PC options works! What is happening when you click it? You can access settings by clicking at top (username) in start screen and select Change account picture. It will take you to PC settings as done by More PC Options.

Hope this helps :)

I installed it from the Microsoft website I believe

When I click on a title nothing happens. I made a whole new account and now the titles work, but the "More PC Options" doesn't work. When I click it nothing happens. I tried searching lock screen and opening it that way, nothing. Then I tried clicking the username at the top right corner and that doesn't even open it

The Customer Preview is quite old, and full of bugs. The Release Preview was released about a month ago and is much more solid. You might want to consider installing that instead.

Thanks for letting me know its old actually. I installed the newest one and when I plugged in a USB into my computer everything crashed and I couldn't do anything. This never happened before on Windows 7 for me. The Metro Apps stopped working (Of course) and to fix that all I did was make another account and switch everything over to that one. Nothing has been wrong since, thanks
