This is an easy  question about windows 7 :(

I bought a used win 7 pro laptop lenovo think pad.

I set up windows chose no password BUT when i resume from sleep or start up the first screen would need a password IF I HAD CHOSEN password protect

Instead i have to click on a small square to open desktop....where is the setting to start directly to desktop,??????

Its soooo easy when i found the setting last time i wondered why i had not found the setting myself....since then i had a crash which wiped out all my scrapebook notes

I KNOW ITS NOT A WIN 8 Question but i just cannot find anywhere else where someone might remember how to do it and it is sooo simple

well im on my asus UX 21a which is quite old now,i might have gone to French im a bit rushed hear
So i made all the steps, un ticked the box went to advanced un checked box there applied restart just in case NO CHANGE??

Another odd thing i bought the Think pad T420 160Gb SSD 8Gb RAM from a German leasing company and its scratched but otherwise perfect i could set up win 7 pro as if just out of the box thats why its in English BUT the German keyboard QWERT"Z" has the Y key there??? and types Z which would be the same keyboard as this asus i bought in Switzerland that is a Swiss German one

Over time ive got used to it especially as Switzerland used to have a 30% discount over European prices ..that was before large companies bought the discounters
So i changed the keyboard to Swiss German BUT its still German German configuration with the Z/Y @ è key all different
What have i done wrong??? I used to be able to change the setting

OK thanks for posting the link would have removed the login screen at once ;) IF i had made restart:huh:

The keyboard turned out to be Swedish  so the Swiss German & German were installing just wrong. Now i have it set Swiss German and dont look at the keys except when i forget where a key should be

Thanks great help without your help i would have still been looking
