Locked out of my tablet running Windows 8;

I've been locked out of my tablet running Windows 8. The account name is an Outlook email that I never use, so I cannot answer all the questions about the emails I sent or subject titles, therefore, MS will not let me reset my password. I do not know how the password has been changed. I've used it ever since I've had the tablet, but MS won't let me in with that password, and asks questions about the email account, X-box and even credit card info - I've used none of these, so can't answer them.

I'm at my wit's end. I'm stuck on the login screen and have a couple pounds of paper weight instead of a tablet PC.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Carl

This isn't the best forum to post this question since there are rules forbidding the posting of details about such subjects as resetting passwords etc..

I suggest if you thoroughly search using a service such as google you will find instuctions apropos of this topic.

Pardon me If I disagree. I am locked out of my personal tablet because of Windows 8. If I can't talk about here, where can I talk about it?

We cannot discuss this subject, because there is no way to verify if you actually own it.

Because it is a Live account, you are stuck using a USB stick with Windows 8.1 for a repair.
