How can I recover old data?

Hello , so I have been playing a game since 2014 until today , and I would like to recover those files of the game that were installed on 2014. In there , there is an .fp file which I need to play an older version of the game. I currently have the latest updated files of the game , I tried on the .fp file clicking properties , prevoius versions but it popped up not 2014 old file but a file that was modified in 2015's summer. I would really like to get that old .fp file that was installed in 2014. The game is available to download from the internet and it doesnt has to download older versions , with that .fp file of 2014 i can have the 2014 version which i really would like ,, thanks alot!

If you can remember roughly when that version was the current one on the game site you may be able to download it from the wayback archive.

I found the same website but in 2009 , it has download but i think it will download the latest files , I found the website of 2009 on ''waybackmachine''

Why can't you play the game with the new files again? or why don't you want to play it updated?

File recovery programs will find something but there is a long chance in hell that it may find this older .fp file..

do you know how many things changed on your computer since the time you deleted that file? that would surely have overwritten the space where that file used to live by 2016..

but I mean you can run Recuva for the hell of it and it may take 6 hours or more because you'll have to do a "deep" scan..

and then probably have to sort though 2 hours of mindless files it finds..

Hey, Also go to the website of the game and join the forum there..

then ask for that file you want from the community that actually has the game.. that is another option..

usually there are some nice users that will upload the little file for you if they have the older version..

try that also..

otherwise I'll keep looking for an older game version.. some websites keep archives of games..

Hi in my opinion there is no chance of recovery because the drive is overwritten by the new files. But still you can run free recovery tool like Recuva or Stellar phoenix to check if data is present for recovery.

I agree with oliverpowell, that the data in hard drive will be overwritten, thus data recovery chances are very less. But their is no harm in giving a try, use a data recovery program which is free to use. Solution to Retrieve Files from Hitachi Travelstar Hard Drive
