    Windows 8.1 Always Blue Screen at Startup(Troubleshooting)

    Hello everybody, I've made an account just for this error regarding how troubling it is but yet I realize the amazing peer guidance in this community. Back to the point my laptop is having a big issue preventing me to access it. At first it began with a random constant Please Wait loading circle so I force shut down and reset my PC after reading so. Now the bigger problem is that after resetting my laptop , whenever I turn on my laptop it does the normal HP logo and then when it goes black (I thought it was back to normal) it went to a blue Troubleshoot screen instead of the usual password screen. It does this every time I turn on my laptop and can't access to anything. Restarting or resetting is always an error for example;

    Refresh your PC
    The drive where Windows is installed is locked. Unlock the device and try again.

    And in the recovery menu the Help! section (with Refreshing and resetting) are grayed out. I can't show pictures because I'm using my mobile phone to post this.

    Additional details;
    Windows 8.1
    HP Beats 15 NOTEBOOK PC
    BIOS VERSION: f.34
    Processor Type: AMD A8-5545M APU / Radeon(rn) HD Graphics
    I have no recovery DVDs for Windows8.1
    The last time I saw my laptop alive was when it was updating.

    Logs:

    Reset your PC
    Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing.

    System Restore
    To use System Restore, you must specify which Windows installation to restore. Restart this computer, select an operating system, and then select System Restore (I can't do this it won't even let me pass the Troubleshoot blue screen).

    If need more details, please be will to ask. Thank you! Urgent!

    A situation like yours is always hard to troubleshoot. But one thing we need to clear up is what you mean by "RESET". Are you referring to a Windows process or OEM boot key option.

    Was this an 8 to 8.1 upgrade? Any chance it had tried to upgrade to Windows 10?

    You don't have any recovery drives or backup images? Do you have any other recovery media?

    Windows process. And I'm not sure what it was updating to, but my laptop died mid process that night and happened in the morning. And I believe not.

    If it powered down, yes that can cause problems.

    From the messages you are getting, I get the impression the system is attempting to reset to an Older OS from a newer OS. Whether it might be 8 and 8.1 or 8.1 and 10 is uncertain currently.

    When did the problem first start regarding the please wait messages?

    You are saying it will not allow you into any of the troubleshooting options during boot? Have you shut the system all the way down and tried booting from a powered off state?

    If it was attempting to upgrade to Windows 10, it takes around 45 minutes after the download is finished, depending on how much you have on the Hard Drive.

    The Please Wait constant loading began I believe 3 days ago, it would load and then the loading symbol would freeze but I was still able to move my cursor, switch my laptop lights on, but not Alt+Ctrl+ Delete.

    I haven't tried a powered off boot nor do I know how.

    Powered off just means shut it down before you start. The system boots differently depending if it is a restart or a cold boot.

    Are there any suggestions? I could try borrowing a recovery disc, but I mean the only option I can see doing would be the Repair option where it diagnoses my laptop and attempts repairs. But it loads forever when it's Attempting Repairs.

    You may have hard drive issues. There is a USB portable app that you can run to test RAM and Hard Drive.

    It looks like that your MBR or BCD file is corrupted.
    Maybe this guide can help you. http://www.thewindowsclub.com/the-dr...lled-is-locked
    Depending on your situation/system look at comment from Boozi.
