'_1033.cab' error when installing printer software

I've been trying to install software for my Kodak printer and keep getting the error...
file xxxxx cannot be found in cabinet file '_1033.cab'

After numerous searches online it seems this is a system error so I have no idea if it has to do with 8.1, or if the problem is something else. I have a Toshiba Satellite and am really at a loss since I can't print. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you got a disc for the printer.
If so run that to see if that will put in the missing file.
If you have not then see if you can get it from the Kodak site for your model of printer.
If none of that works run the trouble shooter for your Toshiba to see if any files or updates are missing from them.
Have you tried also the Toshiba forum, they are very helpful on there

Yes I have the disc and ran it twice and still came up with the same problem. Then I downloaded the software from Kodak and had the same problem. Haven't tried the toshiba forum yet, but I will.

Ok why I said Toshiba forum I too have a Satellite Notebook and that is where I get advice from if I need it/
