Reduced Screen (Black Edges)

I know I am running Windows 10 and this is the Windows 8 Forum, but no one would help me on the Windows 10 Forum (I needed help with my scrolling not working, but it's been a few weeks). But this is a different issue. I just got off of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (as I've done a lot of times before) but this time (for the first time), the screen has black edges on the sides. When I Move my mouse at them, it just stays like it's the end of the screen.

I can't even take a screenshot of the black edges. Please help, and thanks in advance.

Did you check your display resolution to see what it is set at? IF your monitor is hooked up through a digital connection (DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI) and the display resolution is lower than the native resolution of your monitor it will display with black borders like that instead of stretching the image to the screen.

Oh. I checked display settings, but I didn't see the Advanced Settings. Thanks. I'm blind as ****. So...one more thing: Do you have an ideas on my scroll? It's a gaming wired mouse, that's all I know. I got it from eBay and I don't know the manufacturer. (The Scrolling was working fine for the longest time, and I can physically scroll it, but the page won't go down. I tried messing the mouse/scroll settings.)

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Ive been very busy. To me it sounds like the scroll wheel went bad on you. I would try a different mouse if you can.

It's okay. And oh, is there no fix? I can't really get a new mouse. I'm on a laptop so I just use my touchpad when I need to.
