Surface freezing when mouse touches corners in Windows 8

I have a Surface Tablet running Windows 8. When I hover the mouse over the bottom left corner where the Windows button pops up to switch back and forth from desktop and tiles, the thing freezes for about 30 seconds and then unfreezes and then freezes again then starts working normally again. I have googled this already and not much came up. I did updated the drivers but windows said they were up to date, uninstalled the and reinstalled them. I did a sfc scannow and nothing. I did a chkdsk /r and it worked fine, I thought, for a while then I called the customer to come pick up and as as I was talking to him, I started it up and it was freezing again. Made me look really stupid on the phone, but he laughed and said it did the very same thing to him. So I just did a chkdsk again and again it is working just fine for now. I am going to run out for a while and when I come back I will restart and see if it still messes up and I am going to do some malware scans while I am gone. But I think it has more to do with the file system or Microsoft video problems. oh and when it is not frozen, I can use the touch screen with no freezing what so ever. Only when I use a mouse or the touch pad.
