Yes, because it is not an issue with the tv when it has pictures shown. It is the size of the photo.

Did you get a chance to download a few 4k resolution pictures and try those?

As I clearly stated in my thread starter post there is no such problem when streaming video. I tried various videos and they were always displayed on full screen weather they are 4K or not.

Then there is nothing wrong with the computer or the monitor. It is as I stated before, because of what resolution the pictures were taken at.

What you are saying is contradictory to what are shown on the pictures previously posted.: Their resolution are vastly different or 1200p and 4912p, yet the displayed sizes are the same. The width is different because their aspect ratio is not the same.

Again as I stated it has nothing to do with the resolution of the tv or what the Video card is set to output. It is because the photos are being shown in the Native resolution that they were taken at on a camera.

In order to make them work in 4k mode. You will have to use the software I mentioned before.

If the photo of 4912p resolution is displayed in the native resolution on the 2160p screen, doesn't part of the image go out of the screen?

It depends on what you have the software that controls the output on the display set up for.

It takes more then just hooking up a monitor. With HDTV's, you have to adjust the control software, so that anything you output on it, is going to show up as you want it.

The pictures being in a different resolution, will always display in their native format, unless you use a software made for slideshows, or adjust the photo resolution.

My conclusion as to the cause of my problem is as follows:
    1. It has nothing to do with resolution of the source image nor the TV screen.
    2. It has nothing to do with the software involved at the DLNA server: The software funcions merely to send out the image information and has no control over how the image is displayed on the TV screen.
    3. The TV has the complete control over how the image is rendered on its screen.
I do not know if there exists any TV with 4K screen that displays DLNA streamed images as I wish. Sharp and Sony TVs with 1080p I used to use allowed adjusting display size and aspect ratio of the images on the TV screen.
