I can't get the desktop to properly size up on my screen. You can notice in the screenshot (in the lower right corner) that part of the taskbar is cut off. I have tried making adjustments via the NVIDIA control panel to no avail. Can anyone give me any advice on how to fix this issue.

I'm using a 50" Plasma HDTV and it is hooked up to my PC via HDMI. My previous HDTV was a 42" LCD and I never had a problem with desktop size and position.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your response. I haven't tried any other resolution because I don't desire to go any lower than 1080p. Anything less than 1080p is unacceptable.

have you tried accessing overscaling - right click desktop, Nvidia, Adjust Desktop Size and Position, Enable Desktop Resizing, then click Resize
This should bring up arrows to each corner of the frame, adjust to your preference and then go adjust the resolution back to whatever you prefer i.e 1080p.
Hope this works for you

Proportion is wrong,so you can't get the desktop to properly size up on your screen.;)

I'm not following you. What do you mean the proportion is 'wrong'? If that's even the case, how does one go about addressing the issue?

Proportion would be the Height vs. the width, look for some setting on your monitor to stretch or shrink to fit. You monitor was never intended to work with a desktop.

Height and Width are both scaled at 100. I also have a HDTV not a monitor. The last HDTV I had my PC hooked up to worked just fine.

Monitor/HDTV was not intended to work as computer desktop the setting you need are probably on the HD TV itself.
