What part of that do you all not understand ???

I have installed win7 and tried to fetch the Key using RWEverything site and got a Product key, None of of OS I loaded accepts this product key too.
I mean Really ?? All this about a Key and not even the question by OP..

If you have a way of accessing your HDD you can run a few commands to see if the Factory recovery Image is still present on a separate HDD partition
Why are you arguing about it. As long as they have the key, they can force 10 to upgrade.

That version was a stupid idea by Microsoft in the first place. Same as the long ongoing argument that users need to be forced to make the Backup media, before they can even create an account.

    Dear KYHI
Thanks for the revert..Please see the image.. I'm sure the recovery is gone.. For the time being i'm on a WIN7..I found my friend using a similar acer system and thought of creating a recovery USB in that system use it in my system, but unfortunately he has a 32 bit OS...Let me know that idea could work if I find a acer system with win 8.1 SL with bing?? Thanks every one for the quick replies..

Jacob turn on your private messaging. As for the 32 bit version. It will do fine. The Bing version is like the Windows 7 Starter was. If it works and she does not have more than 4 GB RAm, everything will run just fine.

Well your Factory image is gone.. And yes another Image of BING would work.. Although it appears Broe23 has a way of forcing an upgrade upon a non-activated OS..

It is also said, that if you wait til next month - the newer release of windows 10 will use your current OS product key to activate,
instead of having to do an upgrade first..

Yes there is a way to force the activation on a clean install of 10, without having the key. You have to have the "Free" upgrade, then when installing and it asks for the key, you choose to do it later, like it has to be done if you installed 7 or 8.1 in the past.

Then you go into Command window as admin and enter "slmgr.vbs /ato"

If you've already done the free upgrade there is no need to "force activation". You click skip when it asks for a key during installation, and when done Windows 10 will activate on its own, automatically.

Ah, the OP has not done the free upgrade to Windows 10, therefore it will not activate? No digital entitlement exists for that PC?

    Hi Friends.
I am currently on a Windows 7 Acer OEM, ultimate 64 Bit, pre activated version. I have tried updgrading to WIN10, it goes till the first restart after installation and get stuck there at WIN 10 Boot Logo. I forced restart after waiting for 20-30 minute it gets reverted back to WIN7 back and my Windows 7 Genuine activation will also be terminated. I think UEFI is pushing the win8.1 key.

    @alphanumeric
"If you've already done the free upgrade there is no need to "force activation". You click skip when it asks for a key during installation, and when done Windows 10 will activate on its own, automatically."

I have not noticed the skip option when on product key page neither while upgrading nor while trying clean install on win10.

"It is also said, that if you wait til next month - the newer release of windows 10 will use your current OS product key to activate,

It s worth waiting for a month if it will be done.. Let me once its released please, It will be a great help

Kudos to all who contributed to help me.....Thanks once again

If "Windows 7 Acer OEM, ultimate 64 Bit, pre activated version." is what I think it is, its illegal to use. It's a pirated version. Talking about stuff like that here, could get you banned. Even if it's an official Acer OEM image, it's till not legal to use unless your PC shipped with 7 Ultimate. Where did you get your Windows 10 ISO? This is the official source, https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10 I have seen the skip option, lower right or left hand corner of the screen I believe.
