Solved Win 8 recovery disc/usb for already crashed laptop

Hi There,

my Samsung Series 3 laptop won't start up siting a boot error.

I don't have the recovery media so wanted to find out if I can obtain it somewhere.

Is there a place I can get legit recovery disc/usb to repair my laptop?

you can get windows 8.1 setup media > Create installation media for Windows 8.1 - Windows Help

boot from that media and when you get to the INSTALL screen
select Repair this computer...

Hi there I have tried the above suggestion but this is the screen I get when I go to log on. It has no other way out except into the firmware setting page but I had a play with that and it didn't seem to really have any options relevant to my problem.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

I eventually got it sorted.

I found another thread that suggested doing an F4 recovery.

I did it and it just fixed itself with the media you suggested getting, so thank you very much for your help :thumb::thumb:.
