Solved Help with strange box

I have windows 8.1, use Mozilla Firefox 41.01. Also have Chrome and IE. Yesterday when I started my computer a small white box[FONT=&quot] [/FONT] about 2 " by 1" appeared at the bottom right. Says "software download" complete with the option to "install now or install later". Nothing happens if I right click or click on it directly. If I check install later it moves to the bottom lift side of my[FONT=&quot] [/FONT] screen. I have not downloaded any software or clicked on any box ads on the intranet. At 85, I don't stream music or watch online movies. I am not going to install something that I do not know what it is. I have run[FONT=&quot] Malware bytes and Glary Utilities . Found nothing..I have checked the start up menu and nothing unusual is there. I am not very tech savvy, but can anyone tell me what this is and how can I get rid of it.[/FONT]

Download and run ProcessExplorer. It does not need to be installed.

Drag-and-drop target to find an image. If you're not sure which application corresponds to which image in Process Explorer, click and drag the little gun sight icon on the Process Explorer toolbar, and drop it on any visible window to find out what process/image it is.

Once the window is on the screen, start ProcessExplorer and drag the target icon and drop it on the window. It will show the process that generated that window highlighted in blue in the PE window.

Then use msconfig Startup (or Task Manager Startup) and Services tabs to find and disable that process.

If you are talking about moving this box on my screen, there is no way I can do that. It only moves from left to right. I cannot move it at all.

No, there is a little icon of a target in Process Explorer which you drag onto the unknown window.

Wow. That is a cool program. Thank you so much for that. It was software for my android phone. But there was no identification anywhere. it is now gone. I appreciate your help.
