Can I add another "Save As" location?

I'm struggling with my organizational folder structure and the folder I'm currently working w/ a lot is a number levels buried w/n Documents. As a result, when I click save as I have to click through a number of folders until I get to the desired folder. This is taking up a lot of my time. I may end up just cutting and pasting the folder to a higher level for now but would really like to add this folder or its parent folder as a default save as folder.

Any direction?

If you like, you might see how including the folder to your Documents library. Afterwards, you could set that folder to be the default save folder for the library. This way you could "Save as" to the Documents library, and have it actually saved to that folder.

What web browser are you using?

Internet Explorer should use the last folder you saved to as the default Save as folder.
Firefox has an option to Always ask where to save or you can set the Save files to option to whatever folder you want.
Chrome probably has something similar.

Thank you. Does that add another available location to save as options or change the save as option? I simply want to add another location...

You can't add a location. All you can do is change the default as I mentioned or navigate to where you want to save to.

I download everything into the Downloads folder, then take them from there into the respectable folders. If I do any type of sub-folders in say Documents. I will categorize them by year, then month, which has always worked out for pdf's and such.

Anything else, I would just dump them into a main folder and then if you find that Windows Search starts lagging, try using Ultra Search.
