My computer running windows 8 and it cannot wake from sleep most of the time. When I built this computer last year, it can wake from sleep 9/10 times. However, now, almost every time I try to wake my computer from sleep, it crashes. This is what I notice when the computer is about to crash when waking from sleep: Power button is pressed, GPU fans and direct PSU connected fans spin up. Fans connected to Mobo do not spin up. Power button continues to blink even as if still asleep.
I strongly suspect it's the Mobo that is causing the sleep problems. The Mobo have been dropped and 6 out of the 10 sata ports do not work properly. I tried different bios versions and the latest version, and reset all values to default( no oc, xmp), and sleep problems still exist. The PSU and GPU have been tested with another setup with no problems. I tried another operating system and same sleep problems exist. Windows mem. diagnostics passed. Before I go out and buy a new mobo, I want to be 100% sure that my problems are caused by my current mobo.
