Hi,

I was not able to see the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder so I search on the Internet and find something to see inside this folder.

Now that I see what inside I want to remove access to this folder (mean I don't want to see inside anymore).

I use Windows 8.1 Enterprise and my account have administrator right.

I try something, but each time I remove my account, they show again
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps --> Right Click --> Properties --> Security

Even if I remove my admin account from Group they appear all time.

I try the Edit button in the "Group or user names" and I try too Advanced Button in "Permissions for".

How remove access to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps?

PS
Can I say that people who create Folder Right, Permission, Audit, etc. have a Jello Brain!
Man so complicated...

It is protected to keep malware from implanting into that folder. Only the OS is able to use that folder. There is no reason really to get into that folder for any reason. Otherwise you will end up breaking the OS.

Not sure you understand what I say. I want to not able to have access to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps.
For now when I press on C:\Program Files\WindowsApps I see all file and able to go inside.
BEFORE I change permissions I can't but don't know what I did for that. So I can't reverse the situation since I don't know what I did really.

I don't want to see inside C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. How do that?

You can change the owner to "SYSTEM" & disable inheritance & remove everyone else & you will end up with a message like this when you try to open the folder-

screenshot_307.jpg

If you click on it you will see-

screenshot_308.jpg

In Advanced you will see-

screenshot_308.jpg

Of course, anybody that knows what they are doing CAN gain access. :(

You could try researching programs to password protect folders.

I looked in my folder & didn't see anything worth looking at.
