Solved Windows 8.1 Magnifier "Freezes"

Because of my eye sight I am forced to use the magnifier supplied with the Windows 8.1 system. At times the magnified view appears to "freeze." The curser will move on the main portion of the monitor, but nothing changes on the magnified portion. This happens primarily when the system is trying to process an executable command. The system will hang up from 30 seconds or until I re-start the PC. Can some one give me am idea to what is happening and what I can do to fix the problem?

Thanks

You can start by checking the running processes or programs through the Task Manager. It is possible that a program (other than the magnifier) is taking too much system resources. Once you find out the culprit, uninstall or disable the program if you rarely use it.

If you are unsure what the programs are for, you can export a copy of your system information using the msinfo32 feature of Windows and will analyze it for you. You can do this by:
1. Pressing the WINDOWS + R keys on your keyboard.
2. Type "msinfo32" then press ENTER.
3. Select File > Export.
4. Save the file and post it here for further analysis.

Cipals15,
My 14 year old grand-daughter removed a lot of applications that start at start-up. The problem has not arisen since. I am going to believe the problem has been fixed and mark this solved.

Thank you
