I've had two weird things happen following on from two optional updates that appeared today.

If you open a picture using W8.1 photo viewer (as shown in the attached image), and click print from the dropdown, do you have a spelling error on the word 'Frame' ? I see Fram ! Can't believe I've never noticed before if its been that way all along.

The other odd occurrence was this on a reboot following the update install. Recycle bin on D partition corrupt. I don't really believe that it is corrupt tbh. Seems OK.

For the screenshot, Yes, mine shows the same.

For the Recycle Bin, I've seen times where it appears normal but the only way to get rid of the message was to empty it.

Is it possible your D: partition is the one holding the factory restore files? If so I'd disable the Recycle Bin [System Volume Information] for it as it has limited free space.

Many thanks for confirming the spelling error, was wondering if something was corrupted.

My D partition is just a normal blank partition that I created when I clean installed 8.1 last year. I do use it in an odd way in that I have it set as a networked location for W8.1 file history to use. Never had anything like that message happen before tbh. The bin never gets used (yet) on that partition. Maybe a one of glitch, time will tell.

Thanks for the spelling confirmation though... I was worried for a moment.

I used this cmd once to fix mine. It worked for me-

Thanks for that David. The bin actually seems OK as far as I can tell. I think it was more of a one off glitch on a reboot after yet more updates (are you listening MS , these are becoming to frequent).

In my Windows Photo Viewer it shows the correct text (see screenshot). However, I've not installed the two optional updates yet, so I'll check it again tomorrow after installing them.

That's very interesting ARC. I couldn't believe I would have missed the spelling error all these months, I wonder if it really could be down to these updates. That's weird.

I checked it again this morning after installing those updates and it's still OK for me.

I also checked the file properties for the files in C:\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer and they don't seem to have had any changes since November last year, so I'm not sure why it's not displaying correctly for some people. All my system fonts and sizes are default, if it makes any difference.

Thanks for checking, appreciate it. I never thought to look in program files but mine are similar, last changed 29th October last year.
