Everything from the start-up tab in task manager is gone!

So I rebooted around 20 minutes ago, because I like to reboot every few days.
But when I booted back up, everything from my start-up tab is missing. However, all start up items do start.

I Just installed a program and it added an entry to the Start-Up tab. However, all other items are still missing and still startup upon logging in

No it happens before in Windows 8.1 . Since all of the start-up items disappeared from the tab, new startup items are added/ removed just fine. I should be seeing some ASUS software in the tab, as well as skype and steam

What does 10240 update mean ? Any restore points before this happened ?

It was just saying that the items weren't readded. And no restore points. It was virtually a new install. Is there another way in which I can remove / add startup items? That's my main priority

Bit confused by saying, no it happened before in Windows 8.1 ,so what is system using now ? Not a good idea to overlook this and figure different way to do it, need to resolve it instead.

I'm using Windows 10 atm. Was hoping an upgrade to that would fix the issue, but it hasn't.
