Hi guys,

I've been wondering if I can hide the letters to the wallpaper down [ Windows 8 Release Preview Evaluation copy .Build 8400 ].

Changing wallpaper won't hide the letters.

P.S. What Antivirus do you suggest that I should use? That off-topic but whatever :p

I believe there might be hack the removes that on the Release Preview. I know there was one for early releases.

As for anti-viruses, if you're not doing crazy things on the internet and are not plugging in foreign drives into your puter, Windows Defender, Windows 8's built in anti-virus, should be fine.

Did you try to install Microsoft Security Essentials?

If you're doing that in Windows 8, it tells you that it doesn't work with it. Windows 8 already has an anti-virus in it. Go to the Start Screen, and type Windows Defender and that will open the anti-virus' program interface.

In previous versions of Windows like Windows 7, Windows Defender was not a full antivirus application. In Windows 8 it is a full antivirus program. Think of it as Microsoft Security Essentials renamed Windows Defender. Microsoft Security Essentials won't install on Windows 8 because Windows defender is its replacement.

Does that mean I wont need to install any security software like Bitdefender total security or Norton on Windows 8.

That depends. If you like Bitdefender better, then by all means do so. Some people prefer different anti-virus, or feel one works better than another. I am perfectly happy with Windows Defender, however.

You can hide or edit the watermark using My WCP Watermark Editor. I checked it with W8 CP, it should work for RP as well.
