Since I switched from Windows 7 which gave me no problems that I remember to Windows 8.1 it seems like the updates take forever to download and install. The latest update started around noon and was still running until a few minutes ago when I switched off my computer. That's nearly 8 hours. I'm running the latest Norton AV program that I got from Comcast, my ISP. Any ideas to get me through until Windows 10 is released? I haven't researched this forum extensively, so my apologies if this topic has been covered extensively.

Thank you,

Eric
