accidentally moving folders in explorer with drag/drop

On rare occasions, I've accidentally moved an entire folder or files to the wrong place via drag/drop in Windows explorer (dropping too soon).
Sometimes it would take me a while, but I was able to find where I accidentally dropped my files and restored them manually.
To help in the future if this happens again, is there a log file where Windows stores copy and move actions in Windows explorer to make it easier to resolve this type of accident in the future.

No log or trail you can look at. All you can do is search for the folder name you moved.

I use Everything Search for tasks like this, makes it easy to do.

Did you try "Ctrl+Z" that works to undo last move if you have administrator level access.
EDIT: this works for standard user accounts too.
