can my processor run windows 8?

i would think my laptop, made for windows 7, could not run windows 8. However, most of the system requirements comply with my computer, but im unsure about the processor and the graphics card. I'm running an AMD E-450 APU "with radion", don't know if it has support for NX, PEA, and SSE2, does it?

the system page says the processor has "HD graphics", but does not specify the graphics card, how do i find this out?

If it could not run 8, you will have the same issue with 10. 7 works just fine. I would keep using it, until the machine dies, then go shopping for a new one.

right....but im looking to format and i don't have a disc for 7, i just post out of curiousity

It's entirely possible you can run Win8.1 on that computer as far as the RAM and CPU are concerned. Win8.1 has the same base system requirements as Win7, 1GHz CPU and 1GB RAM for 32-bit, 1GHz CPU and 2GB RAM for 64-bit. I'm running Win10TP on an older Dell Inspiron that originally came with Windows Vista, same specs as for Win7 and later.

Do a full image of what you have now then no matter how things go you have a get out of jail free card.
