Quick Launch Bar won't stay expanded

I like using the old Quick Launch Bar in Windows 8.1. Recently I had to reload my os and when I set up the QL Bar again it works like it's supposed to, but I can't make it stay expanded. I keep the QL Bar to the left bottom on my task bar. Every time I reboot my computer the bar is crammed over to the right and the icons can only be seen if I click on a little up arrow. I have to unlock the taskbar, drag the QL Bar to the left, right click and deselect Show Title, then lock the taskbar again. I never had this problem before I had to reset the system. Does anyone know how to fix this?
