Solved Wandering Desktop Icons

When I restart my PC my icons remain where they belong. That is until the Windows Magnifier displays. At that time the icons get reshuffled and place in "random" locations. What should I do so the icons stay where I placed the?

Right click the desktop, select View, check Auto Arrange icons, can make sure Align Icons to Grid is selected. Also select Sort by, use Date modified. Name, Size and Item type.

If you want to put them in a particular arrangement or pattern there are many free desktop icon position save/restore utilities you can get from freeware sites. Just search terms "desktop icon positions"

Edit: If you search the download sites such as Softpedia Snapfiles, pcmag, zdnet I'm sure you will find some nice free utilities. Most of the search engines you can filter the results to show only freeware.
