Black Border Problem / Reset Video Card Driver Problem

My PC was recently upgraded to Win-8.1. When it started up, my video card drivers were reset from ATI Radeon 4300/4500 Series, to Microsoft Basic Adapter. Along with that my PC now has an unsightly array of black borders around my screen. If anyone would help me with what is wrong it would be greatly appreciated..

I tried doing what you told me but it says error unpackaging the files, or something like that. I tried to download the Chipset Drivers, but they failed to install too.

Try it one more time, and download it again incase you got a corrupted download.

I did. When I start the .exe I click English>express (I tried custom also)> It installs halfway and then failure. This happens with all of the drivers

Download onto a different computer and Copy to a USB Thumb/Flash drive and try again. Seems something is corrupting the files on the way to you. If the Thumb drive method has the same problem there may be hardware issues with the computer.

Keep an eye on things. Data corruption like that may be a hint of other problems. How old is this system? How old is the hard drive?
