It never rains, it pours! Two failed OSes in one day!

Hello everyone, I have just turned on my laptop, after not using it for a few days, and BOTH my operating systems are playing up! I'm getting a "Updates failed, Undoing Changes" error on my Windows 8.1 install, and a "DPC Watchdog violation" BSOD in Windows 10 TP.

What's making things worse is that all of my System Restore point have vanished (I have now read that some disk defraggers can delete them - including MyDefrag that I use) So I'm a bit stuck (Are there any free defraggers that don't remove Restore Points?)

I have tried booting into Safe Mode on my Windows 8.1 install, using the original Windows 8 installation DVD, but no option appears in "Advanced" so I can't boot into Safe Mode.

The only thing I can think that's caused Windows 10 to fail, was I plugged in my Samsung mobile and it installed a driver for it the last time I used it.

Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance :)
