Is it possible to make "Xbox Video" app in 8.1 play .flv files?
I tried several other apps they don't really deliver either, so I was hoping we could associate .flv files with "Video" app in Metro so we can see all videos as thumbnails, but I couldn't find a way.

VLC works but it doesn't list videos as thumbnails eithers.

VLC would be the only one. Majority of us use Start8 or Classic Shell and a app like Stardock Software Metromix to run apps on the desktop.

Thanks, I looked and look, nothing else. I am trying to make this my son's video player, but of course with VLC he can't see thumbnails, it won't help him.

Ultimately, I decided to use Kodi and modify the theme/skin to make it more friendly. I think Kodi is best player, rest of them are not that great on touch interface.
