Screensaver Pops Up When Playing Youtube Video

I got Win 8.1. When I watch Youtube on Internet Explorer 11, the screensaver kicks in after a while. Strangely enough, this doesn't happen when I watch Youtube in full screen. And this doesnt happen when I play Youtube in Chrome in full screen and in normal viewing mode. How do I stop this from happening?

Windows will turn off the display, screensaver, or go into sleep mode depending on your Power Plan. You can find all of these settings on Control Panel, Hardware & Sound, Power Options. You can try switching your power plan to "High Performance", this might work out better for you.

I myself have screensaver disable, turn off monitor after 5 minutes, and sleep set at never. Certain applications like VLC, Windows Media Player and so on will never let your computer go to sleep mode, turn off monitors, or let screensaver launch. YouTube on any IE does not take or ask for such priorities and thus Windows goes to screensaver mode. If it's still an issue increase time needed for screensaver to launch.

Turning off the screensaver for good is not feasible for 2 reasons: 1) It will creep back on eventually after watching a lengthy video on youtube on IE , and, 2) it will also affect other programs and I need the screensaver.

I just cant believe that IE 11 doesnt kill the screensaver during video watching. This doesnt make any sense.

Is there some fix to this through the registry? Theres got to be a direct fix to this.
