You never want to be right on the edge of what your PSU can supply. It might work fine for a while, but PSUs tend to die quickly when you do that. IF your system needs 650W all together, I wouldnt go less than 850W and would like go for a 1000W PSU. That is just my opinion though. I always like to go overkill on things like that. I see it as future proofing.

Oh wait, that's strange. I see I listed 550W for the power supply because I just basically copied and pasted from my order history from Amazon. However, I have a picture of most of the parts that I took before I started building and the box certainly says 650W. So either I got sent the wrong one by accident, (which in this case is a good thing haha) or something's weird with my order history. Either way, I'll try some other solutions you guys posted and keep you all updated. Thanks!

Edit: Oh wait I realized what happened with the listings. I got the PSU from Newegg and on their product page for that, you can choose from a variety of wattages and I guess the default was whatever I listed by accident. Now on to troubleshooting more...

OK guys, I think I'm close. I believe I may be affected by this issue: Haswell compatibility with Corsair power supplies

And so someone told me I should try disabling my processor's C states or sleep states or whatever in the BIOS, and I went and looked for a while through all the settings I could find there but I didn't see anything about those power saving modes or how to disable them.

Can anyone tell me how to access those settings, with the motherboard I have?

Not much clue on this c state with processor but CO state is where it should be set normally, but Corsair site did say 100% compatible with haswell for that model PSU. Read more about C State before trying anything yet, need to understand what are doing first.

google more, here is one from intel

Augh, I really thought I was on to something... Well what now? What can I even google? I've been trying for days straight, and I've exhausted all the different ways I can word the issue for google XD

Do we even know what the cause is? Because someone else told me that it's impossible for a card to ever need 600w all by itself and I'm just really confused now ;~; If it is a problem with the PSU then I should go about contacting Corsair, even if it's not faulty? Thanks

Truthfully you started this post with saying after you installed this driver( wireless adapter, (Netgear WNDA3100v2 N600) Seemed when started having these issues. Ever make a restore point before this driver, try that. Next uninstall that driver, see if it goes away could be a conflict there. To me if graphics card manufacturer says 600w minimum that least you should have in a PSU for this card.

Won't hurt to ask Corsair, they are there for support of there product if you have any question even if it's not faulty as you paid for there product, go to there website get contact information that will alleviate you from thinking and knowing if the possibilities of the PSU being the issues or not. As they will ask for you system specs. Corsair is a good reputable company, sure won't charge you since probably still under warranty.

Well, the issue was present long before I made any changes regarding my network adapter's drivers. Additionally, by now it's pretty safe to say that my tinkering with those drivers had no effect on the problem because the freezing is unchanged.

You say that site I linked said my PSU should support the processor I have? That makes even less sense, now we're back to square one. I'll see about contacting Corsair tomorrow.

PS: Thanks for sticking with me this long, hopefully we'll find a solution eventually. <3

    Your welcome anytime !

What i am confused about is originally specs here was Rosewill PSU 550W, then you say had it wrong, no it's 650W, but now it's this AX860i Digital ATX Power Supply â which is a 860W. Which is it, did you change the PSU ?

Truthfully i have seen issues with the AMD Radeon R9 video card before even here causing some issues similar to this from drivers it uses.

Some basics to reasons a PC can freeze and lockup on you Windows freezes or stops responding.

Sorry for the mixup, I didn't change the PSU or anything and the one I have is the 650w one, I only listed the 550w by mistake.

There's been issues with my kind of card before, you say? That's great ;~; though at least I could look around and try to update those drivers and see what happens.
