Laptop startup error "No boot device found"

I was recently running a regular scan on my computer with my anti malware program, when the program was done scanning it restarted my computer to finish the removal of malware. Upon restart of my computer I received an error that said "No boot device found. Please press any key to reboot your computer" I pressed a key and it brought me to another black screen that said "scanning media", I have now seen this screen enough that after a few seconds and only for a few milliseconds text beside it says [failed] then it disappears, seconds after that it brings me back to the first screen.
I have been unable to return to my computers login screen and have contacted dell and they have told me I must buy a plan for them to help me, which was quiet pricey, I plan to bring my computer in to Memory Express but they also charge a pricey amount so any fix would be much appreciated.

The fifty dollar question is, does the hard drive show up in the Bios?

    Hi,

Did you make any hardware change ? Otherwise maybe the hard-disk is failing and that might be the reason why BIOS is not detecting it and therefore Windows can´t be loaded.

Check BIOS configuration to see if harddrive is detected.

I'm not sure how to access my BIOS configuration, I have called Dell and they told me to reset my Boot settings but that did not work.
Dell also showed me how to perform a system scan from the Diagnostics tool in Boot Manager Menu and that said my system was perfectly fine.

Before this happened, did you make any rescue disks [from an ISO from any number of very good sources], or, do you have Windows OS DVD? Perhaps Startup Repair is all that's needed. If memory serves me, I believe Windows OS can be DVD-booted even if Secure Mode is on. If I'm wrong, getting into UEFI and adjusting UEFI will not be a walk in the park.

On a Dell pressing F2 brings you into your BIOS/Firmware Settings and this concerns me
when I press F2 to access the setup menu the items under the Boot tab are all disabled and can't be accesed
Try to restore the "Default settings" and if you can post a pic of Boot Tab showing devices

Have you tried booting from ANY Setup media or Recovery Media? Either from USB or DVD ??
You need to see if the system will boot from something else, besides the HDD..

I have tried to restore from a bootable USB device but it was not recognized on startup.
