Shutting down my computer usually fails

My computer failed to shutdown properly, its been doing this for a while.

When i go to shut it down it will remain on the black shutting down screen forever.

I have discovered that it can shutdown better when logging out and then shutting down but it doesint solve my problem.

Especially since it can sometimes boot up and stay stuck on the brand screen with no loading circle forcing me to turn it off forcefully both turning it on and when i try and shut it down, im forced to force it to shutdown.

I hope that made sence.

Any suggestions?

PS: now on boot up (this is a recent worrying problem) to gives me a blue screen telling me it failed to boot up, collecting information and restarting. (Not BSOD)

Maybe some applications running in the background prevented your computer from shutting down. Try to close all the applications before shut down your computer.

Malfunctioning drivers were known to do that ever since XP and ATX standards for PSU.

from a command line run the following command

shutdown.exe /f

The above command will shutdown the system and the /f will force all applications to shut down, if this works then you most likely have an application that is hanging
