Hi to everybody around here. First, first time poster and reader here. Read that this one is the best Windows forum out there. I'll explain this very detailed so I can help yo too: 1- Installed Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca through bootable USB without any problem. To do so, I shrunk the C: partititon and created a 100 GB partition for Linux Mint. 2- Tried Linux Mint but had some issues with the graphic drivers, so I decided to delete Linux Mint from my laptop and give Ubuntu a try since it's more compatible (IMO) with the hardware. 3- Rebooted, went into W8.1 using GRUB like always. Deleted Linux partition and integrated it again to C: 4- I thought I finished my work so turned off the PC and went to sleep. Next day after booting: GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2-9ubuntu1 Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions. grub> Ok. Have to point out that: 1- Since is a laptop it came with W8 preinstalled, so I have no installation DVD to fix the MBR (in case that's what I have to do). 2- I have a bootable USB with Ubuntu, but even though I set USB as first boot device in BIOS, it is not recognized by GRUB or something, idk. Laptop: Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5351 AMD A8-6410 APU @2.0 GHz quad-core AMD R5-230M graphics (integrated in APU). 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Also I'd love that someone explains to me the correct way to uninstall Linux in the case I have to do it again (optional). Thanks in advance, dudes.
