win 8.1 becomes unresponsive when clicking on icons

This problem happens randomly the mouse still moves but clicking on icons or, trying to shutdown using mouse has no response I have to push the power button or push the reset button on the tower to shut down. When it boots back up it;s fine most of the time. Any suggestions are sure welcomed!

Likely you have some sort of file corruption. Start with this.

From Adm. Command Prompt run this Sfc /scannow
This could take a while to complete. If no file corruptions detected we'll try something different. If file corruptions detected run
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth from Adm. Command Prompt then run Sfc /scannow again. Report Findings.

I used both of those commands before, the errors were cleaned with the DISM cmd., the sfc scan showed no problems then, a few hours later another sfc found more errors that could not be removed so I had to run the DISM cmd. again. I finally got tired of repeating the processes and used my windows cd to do an install/repair so I could save all my programs/files. I haven't gotten any more errors running the sfc. scan numerous times but, still get the random freeze/ lack of desktop icon response, and no response when I click on shut down or restart it hasn't happened for a while but, probably will when I least expect it. I think when I got all the sfc. errors before, they were caused by the optional windows updates because since I haven't allowed any microsoft updates all the sfc. scans come out good. I did, just upgrade to an Asus Z97 A motherboard and an intel i7 4790k processor but all the research turned out that all my components are compatible with each other and I'm running my system with stock settings. If anyone gets the chance, could you please look at my system specs just to make sure on the compatibility? Thanks very much!

For testing purpose. Please temporarily disable Kaspersky to see if the problem goes away.
