    Fantastic!

Holy Kansas Topeka! I just finished installing Windows 8, without speech! It's ten fold better than the Consumer Preview! So far, it's fantastic, but of course, there still are a few bugs here and there, but it's getting exciting to see a nearly finished product!

So what are the differences with Consumer Preview?

I am not sure I want to install everything again (hours...). My CP works very fine.

The only thing that could possibly improve your information-packed post is more dancing elephants, and I wouldn't mind seeing some tambourines and flying spoons, too.

Install the new release and you'll see all those things and more, what you wont see is a start button.

It's faster, newer drivers are included in the package, windows will find the latest Flash Player version for you. It's almost a finished product.

I found that ALL of my peripherals were found and drivers loaded for them. I had a couple of programs that would not install even under compatibility mode in CP now installs in RP. Finally, I actually LIKE some of the Metro apps in RP!
Note: Because RP let me install my mobo's suite of programs, I am back to running Win8. Yea!

I agree that this version is so awesome! I hardly use Windows 7 now that I have Windows 8 dual booted with Windows 7 on my main pc. It is so fast and smooth.

I love Windows 7 but the release preview makes it look slow. It's actually a bit painfull going back to Windows 7.

Hi there This World cup (in spite of the FIFA shenanigans and demonstarations in the cities) is turning out to be a real Spectators sport -- really strange results so far -- Switzerland beating Ecuador 2-1 in the last secs of injury time, the Dutch working over Spain giving the world champions a...
dual-booting 7 and the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. it's pretty slick but I'm wondering how I could go about adding my Windows 7 partition to my path or whatever I would need to do to run the applications installed there. I imagine there are some permissions issues too; I had to screw with them to...
