I have an HP Envy 15 that I bought over a year ago with factory installed Windows 8.1 64 bit. So I have no key or boot disc and I cant find my USB boot drive.
• Windows 8.1 64
• 4th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200M Processor
• NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M Graphics with 4096MB of dedicated video memory
• 15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1366x768)
• 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 750GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
• 24GB flash Hard Drive Acceleration Cache
I recently update my nVidia driver through their site and for a few days was getting a pop-up about a streamer problem with nvdia but everyuthing was fine. Then today I had to restart when the problems began and now my computer keeps starting and restarting in a neverending loop:
-hp opening screen/"preparing automatic repair"
-blue screen - "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we can restart for you (System Thread Exception Not Handled (iaStorA.sys))
-restarts going to the hp opening screen
I can't stop the loop and I can't start the computer in Safe Mode. I tried to get to Safe Mode by hitting ESC on the startup, then hitting F11 for System Recovery but then I get sent right back into the loop.
When hitting ESC in startup/restart I only have access to F1 System Info, F2 System Diagnostics, F9 Boot Device Options, and F10 BIOS Setup.
Can anyone help me out? Is there anyway I can fix this on my own?
