I'm using a Dell Venue 11 Pro (x86 Windows 8.1 tablet with Atom CPU) and it often becomes unusable after waking from sleep. I'm able to navigate around the Metro/Start screen no problem, but apps won't open. It shows the animation of me clicking on them, but nothing ever comes up. In desktop mode, I can't even get the task manager to come up, or close any open windows or anything. I can see the animation of the x button moving when I click it, but nothing happens
Anyone seen this happen before on other tablets? I haven't used Windows as my daily driver in almost a decade, so what would really help me out is if you guys could suggest some tools that might help me diagnose what's going on.
It's like a service that is required to open programs isn't running anymore or something. It doesn't feel slow or laggy, it just won't open anything. Been meaning to leave taskman running so I can see if it's something maxing the CPU, but I really don't think that's going to be it.....
Thanks for any help!
