    Change permission back to default

I like to change files/folders ownership and permission to read or modify the content of folders/files (include system volume information). Now I want to reset permission of each files and folders is there a method because I don't want to refresh or reset my PC or delete any files?

The above method from David will allow you to change permission on folders/Files. However, once you change the permission, you will not be able to restore back to the original Permission.

To do what you want, you'll need to use the command line: icacls to first save the original permission to a file then later you can can restore back to the original permissions.

Open the Admin command prompt and type: icacls /? to get the syntax and options and on the bttom, you'll see a couple of examples on how to change/restore the permissions.

EDIT: for System Volume Information folder. This is where all the restore points are stored. You can change the permission and have a look. However, there's not much in there that will make sense to you and then you can delete the folder, reboot, Windows will re-create this folder with appropriate permission.
NOTE: by deleting the System Volume Information folder, you'll lose all the restore points so just manually create a new one.
