windows 8 deleted everything - help

Hi

I know nothing about computers and I am on phone so excuse any bad grammar or lack of knowledge

Basically I have a Samsung laptop with windows 8. Today I signed on as normal and it proceeded to a weird page which had 'easy access' or something like that in the corner with 'cancel' at the bottom. As I clicked cancel, it went onto an animation which said 'lets get started' and then took me onto a desktop page with just the recycle bin. Before this, it had a pop up saying that something could not load with a red ! . I would look what it said again but i don't want to redo it in case it ruins chances of recovery. There are no apps whatsoever and no documents: all i can do on there is view the things like control panel when I hover on the right side of the laptop.

I am so scared that it has restored my laptop completely. I have an essay in for 3 days and theres no way I can redo it in that time.

PLEASE can someone help me by telling me how to get my documents back. At least can someone reassure me that my essay will be there SOMEWHERE and i can recover it somehow.

I really hope that i look stupid and this is a common problem but please link me to other posts if so

It appears you got malware of some sort.. Not sure if it deleted your files or hide them from view..
do you have another PC or some way to browse for your files on that HDD??

In my sig below you will find a bootable recovery iso - you can use it to boot the PC and have access to the HDD files, if they are still there..
