samsung boots to recovery after shrinking

    i have a windows 8.1 Samsung laptop model: NP300E5C-A08SA
when I wanted to shrink my C harddisk from disk management it says only 1.9 GB allowed
I used MiniTool Partition Wizard and it shrinked the C harddisk successfully

but the problem is : when I restart or shutdown and start it again

it boots into recovery and when I Click X button I click restart now and it boots to windows 8.1 normally
    this happens to me everytime

Did you defrag the partition before shrinking? My inclination would be to undo the partition operation using Partition Wizard. Defrag if everything seems back to normal, then try the shrink again. Something may have gotten pinched.

But another poster may have a better idea.

i didn't defrag the C drive but I managed to create 40 GB from partition wizard ( I already shrinked it )

What is on the 40GB of space?
Have you allowed it to go through "Recovery"??
Shrinking should not of caused a Recovery Error, but what does concern me is windows only would allow 1.9GB, but you shrunk it by 40GB..

Seems to me you did not allow for Page File, hibernation File, Swap File and allow for enough drive partition free space for windows..

its boots normally but I want to know how to prevent my laptop from booting from recovery ( I don't want to delete the SAMSUNG RECOVERY partition ) let me tell you what happened :
when I restarted my laptop to complete the operation for shrinking with partition wizard it got stuck on Samsung logo
then I forced my laptop to shut down and powered it up again and I have booted to recovery to check if there is a corrupted file to let the recovery replace it ( but it didn't ask ) so I restarted the laptop and then the operation continued all the way to complete the shrink operation ( to create a 40GB drive ) and when it finished it restarted and then booted directly to recovery and I restarted it so it booted all the way to windows

this is going to take a little investigative work..

from a command prompt(admin) and (this is how I always do commands) - type one line at a time.
    Diskpart
    list disk
    list volume
    select disk 0
    list partition

Just for future reference it's pretty much standard operating procedure to do a defrag on the partition you intend to shrink, as preparation. That tends to move any files that may be hanging around the back of the partition to the front. It saves a lot of side effects. It doesn't have to be a thorough defrag. Just a quickie with a program like Auslogics, Puran or similar, is fine.
