Hello, I'm currently using a 2 years old windows 8.1 laptop. I only realised this problem about a month ago but it's starting to irritate me. Sometimes when I go into 'This PC', it will tell me 'this PC is empty' and never completes loading. But the funny thing is if I click ctrl+N on that windows explorer, a new, perfectly fine windows explorer will come up. Also, I seem to have problem viewing all sorts of thumbnails (images, videos, thumbnails for applications), they just don't show. I followed solutions I got from google to tick those thumbnail options under folder options etc and it doesn't fix the problem so I'm assuming it has to do with this windows explorer problem. Any solutions? Your help is much appreciated.
