Mouse Issues on All USB

Hi Guys,

Interesting problem here. Running Windows 8.1 on a EvGA Motherboard with an Intel CPU. Can't give details because mouse is not working correctly.

So the issue is with a mouse. I have tried wireless and wired and the problem is that the mouse is jumpy and not accurate. It drifts and just simply is lagging. It is to the point that I can't use the computer.

I have tried three different wireless infra red Mice and one of them is for a keyboard too. The keyboard works fine.

I have Windows Media Center third party remote controls that have a mouse function and it is the same with them. I have the latest 8.1 updates too.

I have tried all USB ports and I have tried shutting the computer down and switching off the PSU and discharging all power and then rebooting all to no avail.

I am wondering if the Motherboard is too old now but it seems strange that the keyboard is fine.

Any ideas please?

Sorry that I can't give you more specs but it is all hand built and there is about 16 GB of RAM.

Sorted it out now. Switched off the computer and pulled out all USB except the mouse and then moved the computer temporarily and it worked.

Don't ask me why.
