Greetings!

I can't seem to save the 'sort by' settings, I tend to organise it by 'Contributing artists' yet every time I close the window and re-open it windows explorer resets it and sorts by name. I have tried restarting in safe mode, and it produced the exact same results.

I'm able to sort other folders such as 'my documents' by size/date modified etc. but for some reason it won’t do this for 'My Music' folder.

Can anyone help?

Hi Grimmrock

Have you tried going into that particular folder options? Clicking the "View" tab at the top, then clicking options "button" to the far right side, then on that "pop up" window, select view tab, then click the apply to folders button?

now, in the same elevated command prompt, type C:\windows\system32>Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
then, Enter and let run. It will stick at 20% complete or so for quite while. Don't panic, let it run (may take an hour or more) and the corrupt files image will be repaired. Read this tutorial for more info, if needed -
