Solved "Taskbar ON/OFF" popup is infuriating me

I've looked for a while now but I can't turn this notification off. I want it to go away once I choose "on or off". At a minimum I want to move it somewhere else. It pops up constantly and obscures the screen. I'll even disable the "feature" if that's what it takes. I'd be quite okay with never seeing it again.

Do you have any specific customization software installed?

Thank you for replying. I'm not sure what customization software so.... probably not. I do have Adobe CS6, Office, and more. Plus a variety of Windows 8 Apps. Could it be something that I've installed? I assumed it was a Windows thing.

I haven't seen this feature on Windows 8 before. Where do you enable this feature and what does it do? Does it just hide the taskbar or turns it off completely?

To see what software you have installed, rigth-click on the startbutton in the left down corner en choose Programs and Features (the first option)

As far as I can tell it makes no difference when I click either of them. The Windows Taskbar isn't available no matter what I do. But I don't care about that. I can work around that.

I just need to find out how to eliminate this popup. It simply won't go way for more than a few seconds at a time.

And I wish I knew how to enable it. Because then I'd know how to disable it! :)

Attached are pics of what they look like on my screen.

Also, here's a screenshot of the programs I have installed.

Thanks!

I have no idea what is causing that popup but I doubt it is a Windows 8 "feature". I have never seen that popup and I have been running Win 8 since the very first tech preview of it.

Looking through your list of installed software, my first suspect would be the program you have installed called "Start Screen Unlimited". One of it's config screenshots from it's webpage shows this:

Does that notfication only pop up on the Metro Start Screen on Windows 8, not on the Desktop? If so, you might check which Windows Apps are installed by going to the Start Screen and pressing the down arrow in the left down corner.

As for your Programs list, it could be that "Start Screen Unlimitied Lite 3.1" is causing this. I'm really not sure though, so you can try and uninstall it and reinstall it again if it didn't fix the problem.

EDIT: I see strollin has confirmed this. Instead of uninstalling, in case you need it, you could go to its options and uncheck those checkboxes next to those familiar icons.

I am so thankful, grateful, relieved. There was an audible "sigh" when that went away. Thumbs up to you both!
