Download and create windows 8.1 setup media > Create installation media for Windows 8.1 - Windows Help

You may need to create USB media and a DVD media..

Your F2 pic is missing an attachment - But the No active partition is your HDD has no active partition..

here has to be a key to get you into your Firmware Setting.. As your first post suggests

    From what I find
ESC brings up your Boot Menu
F2 brings up your Bios Setting

Press either key > right after first boot logo appears

It looks to me, from the screen shot posted earlier, that F2 is bringing up the quick boot menu, not the full BIOS setup menu.

If you can CD/DVD boot with a created OEM or MS Windows 8 rescue disk or USB stick boot [via F12 during post, then choosing USB] -- you can do a Startup Repair. That should fix your HD no active partition problem.

hmm im not sure , i didnt try i was thinking i'd mess up the drive by hot plugging it . if that doesn't go well should i just wipe the drive & reinstall windows 8 ?
probably a good idea, unless someone else in the forums has an idea. If you backed up your files using file history and sync'd your PC to onedrive after reinstallation you'll only need your programs/software(unless you do like me and always save the most current install /setup.exe files to a thumbdrive. Don't forget your drivers.
alright that sounds good to me then. ill go ahead and try to do so and see .

Thank you KYHI i thought it posted the pic but i guess not , it was basically a picture of the samsung logo and a bar at the bottom that just shows what i press to get into bios or for recovery . i tried to do so but it doesn't take me to any bios at all no matter which F keys i try even using Fn . it will just boot to CD right past me pressing F2 or esc etc .

Your computer is already messed up.
Try this to get a basic ISO installed>>>

Clicking the setup.exe installs the IOS nicely.

I has worked for me with Windows 10 TP.
Other ISOs have the setup.exe file also.
    Have your Product key handy.
