Is my monitor leaking?

Obviously my screen can be broadcast to someone engaged in surveillance, given access and time (and the right equipment and parts. Does anyone have any information on where I can figure out how this is done, or at least get a snapshot of what the insides look like? I would like to be able to physically open the TV and be able to know if it has been tampered with? I am one of those people who has to physically see the internet cable detached, not just powered down at the modem. Any ideas folks?
Thanks!

lol! I know i'm sounding paranoid, but I'm trying to learn everything. I hardened my machine with a checklist that seems like preparing for WW3, but now I've had the experience, and there are a few things I learned that I don't use anymore, but I know how now. Just because the cam light isn't on, doesn't mean it's off, right? So I keep my cam covered when not using it. Knowing these things makes me relax a little more, so this week is about physical security. I'm finding stuff, little here, little there. It's actually an LCD 32" TV, which I use as a monitor at home. I'm hoping to come up with an on-line course, or at least diagrams of how tapping a TV and broadcasting a signal would work. Any idea how hard it would be, or what mitigation would look like?

Are you positive this TV has a camera on it? I've never gotten one with a cam.
Yes that's probably quite stupid of me to ask but I'm confirming :)

I suggest unplugging everything, and apply two layers of Aluminum foil on all surfaces inside your home. Also make sure you wrap your cellphone with aluminum foil, so nothing leaks out.

LOL I actually thought about trying to turn my room into a Faraday cage, just to see if it would work, but I got lazy (and don't really care to spend that kind of money on foil)

Oh, and I'm not worried about a cam on the TV, I mean to fork the signal coming from the computer, one for the screen, the other to a transmitter (picked up at a remote location or a dvr.

So I keep my cam covered when not using it.
Won't say too much about this but... Yes. Keep your camera covered whenever you're not using it. If you suspect certain intelligent individuals want to 'watch' you for any particular reason, then they possibly could enable your camera.
In the recent past, I had Windows installed with a good anti-virus and firewall, and kept my computer upkeep good and clean from malware. I had an external webcam attached to the computer through USB. They made a small mistake. They didn't know (forgot?) that whenever the webcam is enabled and recording, that there is a small green LED light indicating so on the device. I took 5-10 minutes looking for any programs that can run it. Ended all possible tasks/services that could run it. Yet it stayed on. That was a guarantee that it was on. That's all I will say about it.

In summation, there is no 100% guarantee that your camera is off if you haven't even initiated it to run.
