File Explorer Issue: Everything truncates out of desktop

After Windows attempted to install skydrive, which wasn't necessary as I already have onedrive preinstalled, all of my folders now truncate out of desktop. These however, aren't visible on my physical desktop, just in file explorer.

Don't understand what all of my folders now truncate out of desktop means. Can you explain more or post a picture of the Desktop?

Have you tried right clicking on the Desktop then select Sort by then Name?
